Abstract

Research on the relations between intellectuals and communism in Argentina is a non-developed chapter, in the history of links between cultural field and politics in the 20th century. The present article contributes to the understanding of the professionalization in the intellectual activity, started during the beginning of the Cold War and the first Peronist government, in two complementary dimensions: on one hand, the promotion of specific structures for the participation of writers, artist and professionals in the party domains as well as an expansion on the publisher and press activity. In the other hand, the attempt to discipline the cultural field with the impose to adopt locally the soviet science, aesthetics and philosophy.
