Abstract

The object of study is the evolution of tourism in Uruguay in the regional context through a synthesis of further analysis that took into account areas of the territory determined by a significant career. This approach with which is possible to analyze the role of central government and some local governments and private agents, part of the display of the process located in the River Plate and Atlantic coasts with spas and resorts and scope of social practices. He tried to answer the question of how the vacation model was expanded based on the resort spas building as areas of sociability in imitation of what happened in Europe. Later, relates about the openness to other modalities, based on the analysis of the construction of tourist country's image since 1930.
