Abstract

This paper aims to contribute to this field in formation from the perspective of social history, from an overall view of the emergence of domestic tourism at the intersection of three dimensions: the emerging tourism state policy interventions of the entities civilians and the world of business and consumption around tourism. We intend to draw a summary of the main lines that marked tourism in Argentina during the first half of the twentieth century in response to changes in the social casts of tourists, their practices and consumption, as well as changes in transportation and forms of travel and the emergence, over the period, the various destinations that made ultimately the tourist map of Argentina.
