Azul y Blanco durante la “Revolución Libertadora”: el discurso legalista republicano como estrategia política
Keywords:
Azul y Blanco Weekly, Nationalism, Legalistic Discourse, “Liberating Revolution”Abstract
Azul y Blanco, the Nationalist weekly founded by Marcelo Sánchez Sorondo during the second presidency of the “Liberating Revolution”, maintained a critical stance towards the government. The more antiperonist, authoritarian and less willingly to leave power the “Liberating” government got, the more radicalized Azul y Blanco’s position became. Especially when this government exalted democratic values and liberty at the same time. Given these considerations, the nationalist weekly, safeguarded behind the defence of the “real” law and the republican forms of government, launched a harsh campaign against the government of the “Liberating Revolution”. The singularities of this legalistic discourse resulted ultimately in the rapprochement between Azul y Blanco and the democratic majorities and the Peronism.
