Abstract

The existence of a strong nucleous of nationalist intellectuals within the framework of the formative process of the social and political sciences academic field at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, can begin to explain the survival of the nationalist line of thought even after the fall of Perón and Peronism. This fact gives the local acaedmic experience specific characteristics that, nevertheless, are related to strong networks that transcend the time and place of this study. The reconstruction of their intelectual biographies within the academic and political context of the 1960s allows us to examine an heteregeneous conglomerate of historiographical issues and perspectives, whose nationalistic, traditional, Hispanist, catholic and revisionist biases were part of a cultural and political framework in transformation. The difusión and reception of said frameworks were instrumental in the different ways of appropriating some of their contents that, as the decade wore off, would become more radicalized according to political contexts ever so troubled.
