Abstract

One will be to observe the progressive appearance, in colonial texts, of the categories of classification – “naciones”, "parcialidades” - or categorical names ofthe type "calchaquí", "diaguitan, "pulares”- In addition to see to what extent those names, far from reproducing something like an ethnic panorama, reflect the first organization of the colonial border, her evolution and its necessities. One will follow therefore the successive ups and downs of these names, from his first occurrences to its "naturalization" in a scientific speech of anthropological cut that yes it tries to arrive at positive an ethnic grate, finishing therefore the process of etnificación undertaken by the speech of the conquest.
