Las cosas de todos los días en los espacios rurales de Córdoba a comienzos del siglo XX

Abstract

From the 1990's, the queries about who the agrarian subjects were and what kind of life they led acquired central importance to the rural historiography in Córdoba, resuming the view of the classics about economy embcdded in society and questioning the solely macro-structural explanations with a marked decentcring of the subject. In the framework of these historiographical shifts, this paper focuses on some dimensions of the material life of producers (water, food, housing., health, education, personal and patrimonial security, comunications), who sustained the expansion of the productive forces in the period mentioned a hove, thus disentangling the complex and circuitous connections between the day-to-day experiences of the historical subjects and the great changes and permanencies of the past.
