Un golpe de estado en Buenos Aires durante octubre de 1820

Abstract

Through a punctual fact "1820 coup d'état" in Buenos Aires it is analysed the confrontation of main politic forces (liberales, centralistas and federales) of the first revolutionary decade. Confronting old images with the ones that appears from empirical eviderice, this work notes the federales were a political option with a government plan. This paper analyses two basic questions: in first place, whether existed a federal proposal, and so the real importance of it in a provincial politic space. In second place, what kind of event emerged during those days ¿A revolution? ¿A plebeian rebellion? ¿A sedition? ¿A tumult" ¿A coup d'état?
