Abstract

This article analyzes the strategic role played by civil engineers with regard to the land reallocation & transformation projects associated with the territory of Peru in the 19th Century. It also studies key aspects about their imaginary, both in economic and social terms, as well as the importance which they aequired in the polítical And business fields, thanks to their close links with the state apparatus that was being built.
